MICHAEL BOROWSKI
Originally from the suburbs of Boston, Michael Borowski began working with The Shubert Organization in 1992 and joined The Publicity Office in 1997. During that time he’s become the poster child for working on long-running shows with Cats, Les Miz, Miss Saigon and The Phantom of the Opera, including the record-breakings for Cats and Phantom. On the other end of the spectrum: the musical bomb Ain’t Broadway Grand. Some favorites: Steve Martin’s Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Kathleen Turner in Indiscretions, Natalie Portman in The Diary of Anne Frank (realizing his dream of working at Boston’s Colonial Theatre), Wicked, James Earl Jones in On Golden Pond and Alan Rickman in Seminar. Michael is now in his 13th season representing Playwrights Horizons, where faves have included Grey Gardens, Lobby Hero, James Joyce’s The Dead, Circle Mirror Transformation and Clybourne Park. He’s also a DJ, spinning in NYC, Fire Island and Provincetown. The first Broadway show he ever saw was Madonna in Speed-the-Plow and his all-time favorite musicals are Dreamgirls, Follies and 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
